They can twist situations with such finesse that you’ll find yourself questioning your own grasp of reality. Lies become weapons to gain sympathy and deflect accountability. Imagine a child who trips and blames another child; a narcissist might fabricate a story about being wronged or mistreated to garner pity and avoid taking responsibility for their actions.
