The fourth thing I want to discuss is the issue of flying monkeys. There are always a few people who stick by the narcissist’s side to the very end and even carry on the work of the narcissist. These flying monkeys are as bitter, twisted, or just plain evil; that is the only way I can describe them. Because they, like everyone else, would have witnessed some of the narcissist’s atrocities but still endure and defend them to the very end. Many narcissists manage to have flying monkeys no matter what age they are. The flying monkeys themselves may have changed over the years, but they are very useful to the narcissist, so the narcissist always finds a way to attract people of that caliber. They may have fewer people to work with as they get older, but they’re sure to have at least one devoted flying monkey.
The fifth thing I want to examine is the narcissist’s financial status and how it can contribute to their continued reign of terror. Although many narcissists become less of a physical threat due to health issues and a general lack of mobility, a handful of narcissists are able to remain a physical threat if they have money, power, and connections. A narcissist who has these three things will do everything in their power to make your life hell, no matter how old they are or where they are. They will use their power, influence, and money to get people to carry out their dirty work. Those who do not have the money or power will just cause a lot of unnecessary drama through slander and lies. They do it to entertain themselves and cause ongoing divisions.
