1. Children Can Naturally Relax Around You
You know narcissists are demonic by nature, and they haunt little children who can feel their energy. When you hold a crying child, they ultimately feel soothed and fall asleep. Why? Because you co-regulate with them, something a narcissist can never do—not even in their dreams. Narcissists are massively dysregulated, and when they see a child, they have to put up a show. They wear a mask, becoming the “Disneyland dad” or “Disneyland mom,” holding the child’s attention temporarily. However, they can’t truly hold space for the child’s emotions or let them develop their own ego. They must control the child through infantilization and parentification, keeping them small.
