Assert yourself without hesitation. By adopting a proactive stance and expressing firmness, you signal that you won’t tolerate manipulation or maltreatment. Narcissists often place blame on others and present themselves as victims. Resist their strategies and take action if you’re belittled or ridiculed.
Their inability to find people willing to tolerate their behavior forces them to reconsider. They do not merit your loyalty if they cannot exhibit respect or kindness. By demonstrating confidence, you protect your self-worth and clearly convey that their conduct is unacceptable.
