1. The Narcissist Will Never Apologize
Narcissists do not want to admit they have done anything wrong. You must accept this fact because they will never change—not for you or anyone else. Unlike healthy people, they don’t care if they hurt others or make mistakes. Instead, a narcissist may try to appease you with gifts or nice gestures, hoping you’ll forget the issue. They will not sincerely apologize or take responsibility for their actions. Instead, they often shift the blame onto others or make you feel guilty for their behavior.
2. A Narcissist Will Never Be Honest
A narcissist will never be open about their feelings and intentions. They believe the world revolves around them and that their way is the best. They will take advantage of your dependency by lying, defaming you, and ignoring your feelings. Even when confronted, they will deny allegations or shift blame. They will use emotional manipulation to make you feel guilty about conflicts, leading you to believe that every problem is your fault.
3. They Will Never Forgive
In any issue, narcissists will point out everything that makes you feel guilty. Even if you apologize, they may forgive you superficially but will bring up past issues whenever another conflict arises. This tactic makes you feel powerless. When you break up with a narcissist, you may be surprised by their persistence in trying to lure you back, often by invoking sympathy or anger.
